Christmas Contest 2014

Time to get ready for Christmas. Santa Claus is coming!

Those that participated in the fall festival seemed to really have a good time, so thought it would be a neat idea to have a Christmas Contest for all that might be interested. And of course what better place for the contest than the Christmas city of “Polar”.

The theme for the contest is of course Christmas, anything that would go with Christmas time can be built. So use your imagination and get ready for Santa to arrive at your Christmas plot this year.

Rules:

In the city of “Polar” - A 15X15 plot will be provided for each participant to build your Christmas idea(s).
Your Christmas plot must be completed by December 24 (Christmas Eve) by midnight EST. If possible the owners will do the judging on Christmas, December 25th.
A chest must be put within easy sight with a sign saying for “Santa”, and in that chest should be 1 bucket of milk and 12 cookies.
You must provide your own supplies.
If your plot turns out nice, we may ask you to leave it to be a part of “Polar’s” attraction and we will compensate you for your materials.

A snowman will be provided for you to make snow balls near the contest site in case you want snow blocks.


Rewards:

1st place = $10,000.00 Fens
2nd place = $5,000.00 Fens
3rd place = $2,000.00 Fens
4th place = $1,000.00 Fens

Every participant will also receive a Christmas gift in exchange for the cookies and milk.

If you wish to participate, please post your name down below so we can get your plot lined out and ready for you to start preparing for a visit from Santa! When your plot is ready for you to build on, we will mail you in game with the plot number.

An update on the Christmas contest.  The Christmas contest plots in Polar are now ready to start building your Christmas plot.   I have sent the above names an e-mail with your plot number.

To clarify you will be judged on the following five areas.

1. Creativity.
2. Amount of work that went into your plot.
3. On how it looks.
4. Does it follow the Christmas theme.
5. Detail.

The three owners will do the judging on Christmas day or as close to then as possible.  
Each judge will rate each of the above 5 points on a scale of 1-10.  The highest average scores will be the winners.

You do not have to be present to receive the rewards if you should win.  We will give those when we see you, so for those that might be traveling just give us an idea when to expect you back in case you win one of the 4 main rewards.  Every participant that leaves milk and cookies for Santa will get a Christmas Present.  

There are still plenty of plots and time for others to join, so please let us know if you are interested in participating in the Christmas contest this year.

So lets get started and have lots of fun.

You all did an amazing job on the Christmas Contest. Congratulations on such a great job! And once again you did so well that you made it difficult to judge.  However, the three judges, Juran_Fox, Owl_Talon and myself, BeeAngel have completed the judging for the Christmas Contest of 2014.  Each plot was judged according to five different things; Creativity, Amount of work that went into your plot. On how it looked. Did it follow the Christmas theme, and detail.  We had a total of 16 players sign up.  

We were a little surprised that many seemed to forget the Cookies and Milk for Santa, however, Santa couldn’t resist being nice and still gave each one that signed up a Christmas present that you will find in a chest on your plot.

We ask that you do not tear down your Christmas plots until we talk with you.  We would like to keep most of the Christmas plots as part of the city of Polar’s attraction if you agree and we will try to compensate for the materials etc that you put into your plots.

Congratulations to our top four winners who will receive their reward in Fens when we see each other on-line.  

The 1st place winner goes to plot # 5, which is MaggieEl., winning $10,000.00 Fens.  
The 2nd place winner goes to plot # 11, which is funny99man, winning $5,000.00 Fens.
The 3rd place winner goes to plot # 4, which is milo890, winning $2,000.00 Fens.
The 4th place winner goes to plot # 3, which is rhecker90, winning $1,000.00 Fens.

Thank you BeeAngel, Owl_Talon and Juran_Fox for taking the time at Christmas to judge the entries! I had a great time making my plot and enjoyed the extra challenge.
